A native Californian, her exotic looks are attributed to her multi-ethnic heritage.
After moving to Los Angeles from San Diego, her first film audition landed her the lead role in the independent feature TV Virus, working opposite such notables as Eric Pierpoint from Alien Nation and Casey Biggs from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. This was surprising, since she did not audition for the lead, but rather a smaller, supporting role. Unbeknownst to her at the time, the director and producers auditioned more than 100 actresses for the lead role of Michelle.
Landing another lead role in the tongue-in-cheek, big monster film Supercroc established her as an actress with international appeal and she received fan messages from all over the world. Grateful for the support, she personally responded to every person who contacted her.
Her strong acting skills paired with her easygoing manner have drawn the attention of both film and television industries. Most recently, she has worked with Ben Affleck and Gavin O'Connor on the film The Way Back. Cynthia continues to delight directors and captivate audiences by her realistic portrayal of characters in both film and television.
Off-screen she contributes her time to film projects that showcase actors with disabilities. She also lends her support to veterans and attends events managed by organizations that assist their transition into civilian life.
