Charles Porter was born in the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, England and maintains dual citizenship with both England and the U.S. Played five years of Division 1 football at Duke University and decided not to pursue the NFL after extensive back surgery following his final season at Duke. While at Duke Charles focused study was Cultural Anthropology. It was his love of people and culture that drew him to this particular major. He is also conversational in French.

This England born actor had his first big movie break playing the lead in the Lionsgate horror, Holla. Charles quickly followed that up by playing the lead and producing the film Nailed, which was released by Image Entertainment. Nailed is a psychological thriller that takes the audience on a mad ride from the past through to the present of Charles' character.

Charles has also made guest appearances on some of Television's top Network shows.

Charles Porter battled Hodgkins Lymphoma, stage 4 all through 2010. This was a fight but a fighter is Charles. The cancer was sent into remission the following year and he is now back doing the things that he once loved to do.

Following up his 2011 Title role in the Wendell Scott Movie, 'A Race Story', While working on the series Movie Star Idols, the Director, Robert Madero, ask Charles to star in his next feature, Battered which streams on Amazon.

In 2013, his first book of poems was published titled, 'Get to Know: Unlocking the Essence in You'. His second book of poems, "Choose Your Path", was published in 2015 and they are both available on Amazon.

Summer 2017 Charles stars in JC. The film premiered in Cannes and Charles has received high praise for his role as Brutus.

Since Charles' diagnosis in 2010 and stem cell transplant in 2011, he has had 3 relapses. In January of 2022 Charles received a CarT Cell transplant. This was a successful trial. As he does, Charles jumped right back to it and Produced the film, A Miracle Before Christmas starring Keith David, Letoya Luckett, Romeo Miller and Demetrius Shipp.
