Anghus Houvouras is an award-winning writer and filmmaker who resides in Wilmington, North Carolina. He gained notoriety in the independent film scene as the writer and producer of the cult classic zombie film Dead Heist (2007), as well as writing the screenplays for the features Furnace (Genius/Weinstein), 20 Funerals (Swirl/Koch Lorber) and A Civilized World (Dark Days). Houvouras has also established himself as a prolific writer in other mediums, penning the novels The Dead of Winter, The Cocaine Zoo and Forever Lost at Sea. He remains an active figure in the film, print and theater industries, continuing to develop and produce new works.
