Ilya Shubochkin began his professional career by studying at the School for actors' professional training, founded by Alexander Dzyuba. Simultaneously, he attended the «Seasons» theatre school with "Practice"- Theater. 2016 graduated from the The Boris Shchukin Theater Institute, major in "Acting", under tutorship of artistic director Vladimir Sazhin.
