Judee Wales is an Actor/Producer/Singer/Writer based in New York whose mission is to shed light in dark places through her art. Wales graduated from Emerson College in Boston, with a B.A. in Performing Arts, majoring in Acting. She co-founded The Boston Repertory Theatre, starring opposite David Morse in their lauded production of Jean Cocteau's The Knights of the Round Table. As a New York actor, she has appeared in over 40 productions and worked with directors Bruce Malmuth (Nighthawks); Woody Allen (Manhattan); David Black; Arthur Storch; David Gordon; and Bob Moss, among others.
Her one-woman show, Can An Ex-Playboy Bunny Have A Dream? was developed at the Susan Batson Studio and The Actors Studio, along with the workshopped play Two Bare Arms, written by Judee and Yanna Kroyt Brandt. Ms. Wales solo show's also included music written by Judee and Don Rebic. She co-created the characters of Betts and Margo for Once We Have Wings. In her short film, Mixed Signals, Judee produced and co-starred with Beata Pozniak (JFK, Mad About You), featuring Peter Tork (The Monkees) and Jerry Adler (The Sopranos, The Good Wife), and was an audience favorite at The Palm Springs Festival of Short Films. Two Bare Arms Productions' feature, Pavillion, stars Judee and Tom Brangle; directed by Susan Batson.
Ms. Wales memoir Tail-Blazer will be released in 2025. Her album, Judee Wales' Love Life, published by Poppy Rose LLC., is available for streaming on Spotify and Apple Music. Judee, the co-managing partner of Two Bare Arms Productions, LLC., with her husband, Tom Watson, own, conceived and developed Once We Have Wings. She has created three initiatives with Emerson College to give back to young actors: an ongoing actor's scholarship, an ongoing artist-in-residence program (featuring A-lister guests such as her acting coach alum Susan Batson, director Lonny Price and actor David Morse), and the creation of the Student Performing Arts Center Theater, "The Judee." Ms. Wales really was a Playboy Bunny and is a Lifetime Member of The Actors Studio.
