Wofford Jones started his acting career in the theatre with roles like
Ralph Herdman in The Best Little Christmas Pageant Ever and Noah
Claypole in Oliver. After getting his feet wet and becoming addicted to
the theatre, he was given the opportunity to play the role of Tony
Kirby in You Can't Take It With You, in which he won a Greenville
Little Theatre Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in a comedy. Later on,
he played Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet in which he won a Joanne
Woodward Award for Best Supporting Lead in a Drama.
While doing theatre he searched for opportunities in film which is where his true love of acting lies. He found many opportunities starting out in extra work then graduating into independent films and commercials. He also won a Telly Award for Best Solo Performance in a PSA.
Looking for work in film brought him additional opportunities playing creature characters. Being a horror/science fiction movie buff, he found a huge love in creature performing.
He continues to seek out fun but challenging roles and is thankful for every opportunity that comes his way in this business whether it is on stage or backstage, on film or behind the scenes, in a creature suit or under heavy make-up.
This is the life and the best is yet to come.
