Renate Verbaan was born in Rotterdam, Netherlands on October 27 1979. Renate grew up to become a beautiful woman and was soon discovered. A modeling agency signed her and Renate traveled the world for 8 years. She was 16 years old when she moved to New York and also lived in Tokyo, Paris, Milan and Sydney. But her love for music goes back even further. When she was just a little girl she lipsang on a Dutch TV show. In 2004 she entered a contest on TMF. The Music Factory. The search for a new host. Renate was still working as a model and had no experience in presenting but was voted as new host by the audience. After 2 years she left TMF to make the transition to RTL. She hosted the show Travelfacts and traveled the world again to report on all the hot spots. After that worked really well they gave her a new show. The Dutch version of Beauty and the Nerd. In 2007 she hosted the final of Holland's Next Top Model, which is obviously the Dutch version of America's Next Top Model. Renate also did a few acting jobs during her modeling and presenting career. She appeared in a Dutch Heineken commercial and landed a movie part. She played a small role as a Victoria Secret model in the movie Kızlar ve erkekler (2000). On August 15th Renate gives birth to baby boy Julian. Renate and Winston Gerschtanowitz have been together for over 5 years.
