Fred S. Fosler served as technical advisor for the movie "Desperate Hours" in which he also played an uncredited role. Fosler, more, commonly known to his friends as "Duke," was Chief Deputy Sheriff of the Sheriffs Civil Department in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana, where the screenplay of "Desperate Hours" took place. He was a former Indiana State Trooper working out of the Connersville, Indiana post.
