Ian McGettigan is a Toronto based Sound Recordist with 20 years of Audio experience. Coming from a music production background, he specializes in creative, complex, non conventional audio set ups. His work on "THE NATIONAL PARKS PROJECT" included making recording studio's in some of the world's most outrageous locales, igloos, hotel rooms, caves and icebergs to name a few, helping the series win both Genie and a Gemini award. His collaborations with Director Scott Cudmore used sound to blend music videos and short film to a great new effect. On "Horizon" his use of the most cutting edge 360 sound technology combined with the beautiful audio machines of the past to create luscious soundscapes that take things to another level. His work with Ethan Hawke on "Blaze" showcase's the "on-location" music and dialogue recording skills needed to pull off a country music bio pic with true authenticity.
