Starting in Los Angeles in 1984, with permission from Sandford Meisner, David began teaching the technique that made Mr. Meisner famous and put thousands of his students in productions from film, Broadway, local theatre and television. Meisner students included, Gregory Peck and Eli Wallach to present day Academy award winners. The Meisner technique is beyond reproach . David continued teaching there for the next 20 yrs. David was also the co-founder of the NoHo Arts district, that today is the most thriving theater district of Los Angeles.

David moved to Austin, Texas in the spring of 2005 believing that this was going to be the next film Mecca. David began teaching the Meisner technique at the State Theater for Austin Community College, The University of Texas (UT) for informal classes and simultaneously for JB Entertainment. After 2 yrs he left teaching at Austin Community College and began two private classes as well as continuing at UT and JB Entertainment . In recent years, over 150 of his students have won roles in independent and studio films shooting in Texas and Louisiana .Two of his students are series regulars on NBC's hit series, Friday Night Lights and the latest, Stephanie Hunt is a regular on Parenthood the new NBC hit series. As with Mr. Meisner, the attainment of becoming working actors continues to be a result of this incredible way of performing in all mediums, as David and other Meisner trained actors continue to teach.
