Jonathan Andrew McIntosh is an American actor best known for his role as "DJ" in The Maple Leaf Murders. He was the first of three sons born to John and Theresa McIntosh in Pensacola, FL. At the age of 12, and with his mother's blessing, he decided to give acting a try, taking small parts in musical productions like Grease, Fiddler on the Roof, and Li'l Abner. After high school he explored the world of radio broadcasting and film by attending the University of New Orleans. He quickly volunteered in many student films, as well as, co-hosted a weekly on-campus talk show covering campus life and local events. He was offered a job at a local PBS affiliate and promptly left school to pursue that full time. Over the next few years he learned everything from camera operations to producing, writing, and directing live television. He also began taking small roles in films being shot in New Orleans. His role in Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh happened simply because the production was shooting at a location behind the house he was living in. He walked out to watch them setting up and was immediately asked if he wanted to "be in the movie!". Small roles in Runaway Jury and Ray followed when he picked up an agent and appeared in commercials for MTV and an episode of Trigger Happy TV on Comedy Central. In 2005, during hurricane Katrina, Jonathan relocated back to Pensacola and immediately found work in radio and television, as well as, getting roles in local stage productions. He has studied acting with industry veterans: Jeremy London, Gary Grubbs, Jim Gleason, and Jeanmarie Collins.
