Film Director and Producer John V. Soto has been working in the movie industry for over fifteen years. During that time he has produced and directed five feature films which have been sold and released worldwide. They include Action Thriller AVARICE, starring Gillian Alexy, Sci-Fi Thriller, THE GATEWAY starring Jacqueline McKenzie, Crime Thriller THE RECKONING starring Luke Hemsworth and Jonathan LaPaglia, Supernatural Horror, NEEDLE starring Travis Fimmel and Ben Mendelsohn and Thriller, CRUSH starring Chris Egan. John's film Avarice was selected for the Montreal Independent Film Festival where it won Best Thriller in 2022. In 2023 Avarice was bought by US major Showtime (a division of Paramount) and has since been sold extensively worldwide. His film The Gateway was acquired by Gravitas Ventures and was selected for major genre film festivals, FilmQuest and The London Sci Fi Film Festival. The movie was also selected for the Austin Revolution Film Festival where it won Best Picture. The Reckoning was selected for the British Independent Film Festival where John won Best Director after the film premiered in London. His earlier film, Needle, was acquired by Lionsgate USA and was selected for the leading horror film festival, SCREAMFEST where his film premiered at the famous Mann's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. His very first film, Crush, which was acquired by Entertainment One, was selected for the Shanghai Film Festival and played to packed and enthusiastic crowds during its run
