Shannon Mary Dixon is an award winning actor and decorated athlete. She discovered her passion for performing while competing as an elite figure skater with Olympic aspirations. Transitioning from the ice to the stage, she has landed lead and supporting roles with major networks including ABC, CBS, NBC, Lifetime, the web based channel Blackbox TV, as well as extensive independent films. Her films have screened around the world at festivals including Hollywood Reel Independent, London Fashion Film Festival and Milano International Film Festival.

Shannon's projects have been recognized with awards such as 'Best Picture,' 'Best Acting,' 'Best in Show' to name a few! More than a presence on the screen, Shannon has extensive stage experience and most recently embodied the lead role in Edward Albee's moving classic, The Death of Bessie Smith, and played 11 characters to critical acclaim in a sold out run of the Spoon River Anthology. Some of her recent film projects include the upcoming dramatic motorcycle action film, Through the Corners, and a historical based western feature, The Outlaws of Mendicino County.

She has a natural affinity for combining physicality with storytelling. Some of her favorite roles have been those that have utilized her masterful skills at riding motorcycles, precision driving, stunt fighting, horseback riding. She's also skated in various productions, including NBC's The Office! Her background as a competitive athlete has provided her with the invaluable skill-set to embody the physicality of diverse characters. Shannon is also an RYT Certified Yoga Instructor and is training in martial arts.

Shannon honed her acting skills at premiere Irish acting academy, The Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, joining alum such as Olivia Wilde and Colin Farrell. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with degrees in Film, Theatre, and Design from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She's also a graduate of the advanced improv program at the renowned Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), and has extensively performed on indie improv teams.

In addition to acting, Shannon was accepted to the Production Design Masters Degree program at renowned American Film Institute Conservatory (AFI) and has experience in art departments and as a production designer. In 2018 she directed/produced her first film, Down the Road, a short period piece set in 1944 Paris, and is writing a feature length post apocalyptic western.

In her free time Shannon enjoys adventures with her family, traveling (25 countries and counting!), learning languages (currently French), enjoying the arts, cooking a great meal - and of course- watching films and series!
