Jasper was born James Jasper Hughes Cotter in Dublin, Ireland. As there are already many James' in the family, including his father and uncle, he is known by Jasper. His mother is American and his father is Irish. He, therefore, has dual citizenship. Jasper has 2 brothers and 2 sisters, all of whom are involved in acting in modeling as well.

Jasper is a very typical kid. He loves anything with music, from movies to TV shows and the radio to toys. Jasper enjoys playing video games with his older brother and watching cartoons with his siblings. Jasper participates in Taekwon-Do classes every week.
