Kate Lý Johnston is an actress, singer, writer, producer, model, and general burden on Los Angeles.

She was born and raised in New York City, where she never learned to drive or swim (she can do both of those now though). Instead, she spent her childhood singing and performing at venues like Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Madison Square Garden.

She then attended the University of Southern California for journalism, musical theatre, and film because she watched the movie "The Graduate" in 10th grade and read online that her favorite scene was filmed on USC's campus. During her time at USC, she also became an independent film producer and a professional political journalist, and played trumpet in the Trojan Marching Band.

After graduating, she appeared as a recurring talking head on Fox's "TMZ On TV" and interviewed celebrities on Hollywood bus tours. Since then, she's also starred in various independent films available on Amazon Prime and in new musicals around Los Angeles, and worked as a cruise ship singer in Oceania.

She was also made into a TikTok meme once, for the infamous web-series "Step Mom Puts Daughter in Oven" that ultimately got banned from YouTube but forever lives in the depths of her psyche.
