Originally from New Jersey, Jay Beeber attended the University of
Michigan, graduating with honors. After a stint at Rutgers Medical
School Jay relocated to California to pursue his creative passions.
Since arriving in Los Angeles, Jay has worked in various areas of the entertainment industry. Jay has a strong background in casting; having assisted with the casting of numerous television shows among them "The Pitts", "First Years", and "Two Guys and a Girl". Jay also cast the feature film "Claustrophobia" released by Lions Gate Home Entertainment starring Melanie Lynskey ("Two and a Half Men", "Heavenly Creatures"), and Mary Lynn Rajskub ("24", "Legally Blonde 2").
Among his other producing credits is the recent feature film "Kisses and Caroms", released by Warner Home Video.
Jay and his writing partner Andrea Gall teamed up to pen their first feature film, "Bunny Republic", a broad comedy about a group of Central American Revolutionaries who take over the Playboy Mansion only to be seduced by the hedonistic lifestyle. The script is set up at Black Sheep Entertainment.
Jay currently serves as Director of Development and Acquisitions for Black Sheep where he oversees all feature and television projects including the upcoming CIA-Thriller Fifty-Two, gambling biopic Breaking Irish.
Jay is overseeing all aspects of development for the upcoming Spanish language biopic "Dolores". He will produce along with Steven Feder, Roger Pugliese and Clio Olaya.
Jay is also overseeing all aspects of development and production on the upcoming Steven Feder helmed "Hooking Up", an edgy crime drama starring Michelle Trachtenberg ("Buffy", "Euro Trip").
