Born on November 7, 1960 in Greencastle, Indiana, Jeff Broadstreet is an American director/producer/writer and editor. He is known in the independent filmmaking world as a filmmaker whose feature films produce production value that far exceed the actual production budgets. He has directed six feature films and produced or co-produced seven features, ranging from horror to documentary/docudrama. He has cast and directed many name actors, especially in the horror genre, including Jeffrey Combs ("Re-Animator"), Karen Black ("House of 1000 Corpses"), Bill Moseley ("3 from Hell"), Sid Haig ("The Devil's Rejects"), Andrew Divoff ("Wishmaster"), Doug Jones ("The Shape of Water"), John Kassir ("Tales from the Crypt"), Daniel Roebuck ("The Fugitive") and Bill Oberst, Jr. ("3 from Hell").
In addition to directing and producing, Jeff is also screenwriter and editor. In 2009, he was executive producer on the documentary "American Grindhouse", a festival hit that premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival. In late 2019, he opened the boutique post production house, MIdnightPix-Image Engine/FX, specializing in Trailers, Sizzle Reels and Feature film editing, catering to the indie filmmaker.
Jeff is one of a handful of filmmakers in the world who has directed two stereo feature films, "Night of the Living Dead 3D: Re-Animation" (2012) and "Night of the Living Dead 3D" (2006), for which he won the Special Achievement in Stereo Filmmaking award at the 2006 Fantasy & Horror International Film Festival in Estepona, Spain.
