Award-winning, German-born actor Julian Gaertner, is known for his television and film appearances in Asia and Europe. He stands for bringing cultures closer together. Gaertner has distinguished himself as a multitalented actor, bringing both superior martial arts and language expertise to films including the TaiChi movie The Way We Dance, the Hong Kong police movie Chui Lung (2017) in which he pays, Geoff a Cantonese speaking police officer who faces Andy Lau and Donnie Yen, or Shanghai 1930's film The Longest Shot (2018) as well as Hollywood movies like Ghost in the Shell. He has participated in various TV entertainment including fixed roles in Hong Kong largest TV Network TVB. Gaertner is managed by ShawBrother International Pictures Hong Kong, the oldest and most known production and management house in the city.

A multi-linguist, Gaertner speaks fluently in Mandarin, Cantonese, German, and English, and has been embraced by the Hong Kong entertainment community with an individual fan base in Hong Kong, China and Europe. He has won Best Supporting Actor award at the L.A. Film awards and the Oniros Awards in Italy for his role as the "Young Gun" in the Hong Kong - UK short film DEADEND which is currently produced for Cinema release in China and the West.

Gaertner is passionate about cultural and language learning. He has worked for the German cultural department in Shanghai and performed as the protagonist of an award-winning show "Energy Zone" at the Shanghai World Expo 2010. He holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and Entrepreneurship from the University of Hong Kong and has been learning screen acting at the Munich School and London Pinewood.
