Joseph Culliton is a third generation American actor. He has had the
privilege of acting with many legendary names in his profession. As the
"Credit Director" in Clint Eastwood's "J. Edgar" he has a scene
opposite Leonardo DiCaprio. His first job in motion pictures was in
"Cahill, U.S. Marshall" starring John Wayne, who personally guided
Joseph through his first days on a movie set. As a young man in the
theatre, Joseph played opposite Richard Chamberlain, James Earl Jones,
Van Johnson, Cesar Romero, Martha Raye, Allan Jones, and Joseph Cotten
with whom he toured for three seasons. While pursuing a career in New
York, Culliton appeared on Broadway in "South Pacific," George Abbott's
"Broadway," and Gore Vidal's "The Best Man." Off-Broadway, he acted
with Al Pacino and Martin Sheen in the New York Shakespeare Festival's
"Julius Caesar." He has acted on "General Hospital," "All My Children"
and "One Life to Live." He has also had featured roles on "Law and
Order," "Strangers with Candy," "Conan O'Brien," as well as in the
theatrical release "Somebody Killed Her Husband." Joseph's regional
theatre credits are extensive and include the Guthrie, La Jolla
Playhouse, Ahmanson Theatre, Mark Taper Forum, Kennedy Center, The
Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, D.C. and the LA based Independent
Shakespeare Co.
