Born and raised in San Diego, California, Marila is a first-generation Mexican American fluent in both Spanish and English. She discovered her passion for acting early on, beginning at the La Jolla Playhouse, continuing with improv at UCB, and graduating from Loyola Marymount University. She holds a master's in business from USF University and a master's in Theatre from the Central de Cine in Madrid. Marila has also studied the Chubbuck Technique and performed at the Actor's Workshop in Barcelona, with additional training at Corazza and La Escuela de Cristina Rota.
