Lane Lenhart is an accomplished songwriter/composer, singer, music producer, actress, and creative visionary. She is a finalist of the American Idol Songwriting Contest, and her songs have won awards in the USA Songwriting Contest, the International songwriting contest, and Song Of The Year. She writes songs for young up and coming musical artists, and feature film projects. Her songs have been placed in major feature films and and various independent feature films. She is involved in a non-profit movie production company "Movies Making A Difference", a movie production company that makes socially conscious films and raises awareness. Lane heads the music division of the organization "Music Making A Difference" and writes songs for the films and video projects as her contribution.

Lane's song "I'm Going To Be Me" was cut by a very talented young girl signed to Maverick Records ('Madonna' label) Lane's songs have also been reviewed by 'Lindsay Lohan' for her debut record, and the Duff sisters.

Lane began writing songs at the age of seven and knew immediately song writing was her calling. She is heavily influenced by music for film and theater, and by pop music. Her talent is to mix the two sounds. She has been influenced by award winning songwriters such as Paul Williams, and Diane Warren, who songs fit for up and coming young artists and film scores.

Early in her career, Lane landed acting roles such as Louisa from The Sound of Music and Golda from Fiddler on the Roof. She has had lead roles in two feature films, appeared frequently on CBS's "The Young and the Restless" and has been featured in many commercials. A regular performer on the Los Angeles concert scene, she has been featured at Luna Park, The Gig, Genghis Cohen and The Backstage Cafe. Lane has a growing local fan base, she has toured the country and one of her singles topped the dance charts in Europe. She was represented by "Trema", one of the top French record companies.

Some of her most powerful influences include Paul Williams, Diane Warren, Carole King and The Doors. Her musical style has been compared to Sheryl Crow and Tori Amos.
