János Gosztonyi was born on 9 July 1926 in Budapest, Hungary. He was an actor and writer, known for Jakob the Liar (1999), Hetérák párbeszédei (1981) and Kártyavár (1968). He was married to Viola Thirring. He died on 5 March 2014 in Budapest, Hungary.
