Ross is an award winning genre filmmaker of Ukrainian descent, whose films have been released in more than 50 countries around the world and whose fan base continues to grow. He was born in Brighton, England, studied Media Production at the prestigious Bournemouth University and has an impressive and extensive knowledge of all things film, especially genre and action movies. In 2022 he was diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum.
His micro-budget action feature "Ten Dead Men", which Ross edited and directed, sold over 40,000 copies in the UK alone and has been re-released numerous times across numerous territories. His most recent feature "I Am Vengeance: Retaliation" stars Stu Bennett (AKA WWE Superstar Wade Barrett), Vinnie Jones, Jessica-Jane Stafford, Mark Griffin and Jean-Paul Ly, and was released in North America by Saban Films and LionsGate in June 2020, and in the UK through Evolutionary Films in July. The film has been released in dozens of other territories ever since and, in January 2022 was the second most viewed title on Paramount + globally.
Currently Ross has five features as director on wide release and a library of over 40 short films to his name including "Pure Vengeance" starring Scott Adkins ("The Expendables 2", the "Accident Man", "Undisputed" and "Ninja" franchises), which was selected by the film critic Jonathan Ross to be featured on his television series "Stop! Kung Fu", "Salvation", which has screened in official selection at numerous international film festivals, and "Dead Man Walking" starring Bryan Larkin ("Chasing the Dragon", "London Has Fallen", "Dungeons & Dragons").
Ross is well known on the film festival circuit, regularly attends international film markets including Cannes, Berlin and the AFM, and has strong relationships with international film buyers. He is also Creative Director at Evolutionary Films, where he is head of acquisitions, and is currently developing and packaging a slate of genre feature projects.
His key directorial influences are Walter Hill, Sam Peckinpah, John Frankenheimer, Luc Besson and John Woo, and he is married to actress Niffy Boyask.
