Veteran writer/actor/filmmaker "Charlie" Kuenstle was active in the industry from the early '60s thru the early '80s. Born in Chicago, besides the city streets, he grew up in Phoenix, and Houston where he attended high school. After High School he attended the famous Baylor Experiment Theater as an undergraduate, attended the New York Actor's studio in the early '60, and attended the UCLA film school. After a stint in the Army and working for the USIS, he abandoned his Hollywood career to raise a family and operate an import/export business in Thousand Oaks, Ca. where he presently resides. In 2007 he returned to marketing and promote his own films by establishing his own creative production company, Ventura Films, located in Westlake, Ca. Several of his active films and literary projects include "Dark Passage", a historical book & TV series,"Richard Redux", a sword & sandles feature about the real Richard III portrayed as an English "People's" revolutionary, "Stars & Stripes" an action adventure comedy about a wayward band of GIs on a mission in Mexico in 1917; and "Biker Babes from Uranus" a comedy-satire projected to be filmed in New Mexico for a pending budget of $100m.
