Dieter Plage was born on 14 May 1936 in Beelitz, Brandenburg, Germany. He was a cinematographer and director, known for Survival (1961), Gorilla (1974) and Skeleton Coast Safari (1997). He was married to Mary. He died on 3 April 1993 in Sumatra, Malaysia.
