Shane Clouse is the youngest of eight children and grew on a small farm in Missoula, MT. Shane's siblings and his parents encouraged him to be an entertainer at an early age which lead Shane to seek training in singing, dancing and acting. He was involved in numerous musical theater productions from his youth through his 30's. Shane is an accomplished singer and songwriter and has recorded six CD's. Shane and his band StompinGround continue to perform their own brand of country music throughout the U.S. Shane is also an entrepreneur. He and his family own a nursery business, Pink Grizzly, in Missoula, MT. They also own a website called MontanaWreaths.com where they make and ship Christmas wreaths throughout the U.S. The Pink Grizzly got its silly name from a sale on pink paint back in 1970. Shane's parents Ferris and Anna Marie Clouse built a roadside fruit stand to sell products from the family's truck farm. Once the building was finished it needed paint. Since money was tight for the ten-person family the pink paint was purchased and utilized. The Clouse children wanted to name the business/building Pink Panther, but that name was trademarked so they settled on Pink Grizzly because the mascot of the local university is the Grizzlies. The name stuck and has become an eclectic local mainstay for bedding plants, Christmas trees, and Christmas wreaths. Along with a strong expectation to pursue academic excellence, the Clouse family also encouraged their children to be active in extracurricular activities so Shane participated in baseball, wrestling, football, and later Shane found a love of Rugby. While Shane would say he was too small and too slow to be much good a football, he found a home in rugby. The sport of rugby allowed Shane to see the world playing union, club rugby in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the U.K. Clouse is a true Montana boy and he loves the outdoors where he enjoys hunting, fishing, and hiking. One of Shane's favorite pastimes is to take his pack string of horses and mules into the Bitterroot wilderness with his family. Shane is married to the love of his life, Kelly Powers Clouse. Kelly was the homecoming queen at their Alma mater Montana State University and Shane was smitten at first sight. Shane and his wife Kelly have a profound love of the agrarian lifestyle that Montana provides. They purchased their own small farm in the Bitterroot valley of Montana where they grow hay, have a large apple orchard, and raise Scottish Highlander cattle.
