Jully Lee is an American film, television and theatre actress. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California to immigrant parents from South Korea, she graduated with a B.A. in Human Development and a minor in Law & Society from the University of California, San Diego before deciding to pursue the arts.
She began her performance career after joining Cold Tofu, the nation's first and longest running Asian American improv and sketch comedy troupe. After her stage debut in a sketch comedy show with Cold Tofu (also a collaboration with Lodestone Theatre, 18 Mighty Mountain Warriors and OPM), Jully received a direct offer for a co-star role on Reno 911! (2003). Since then, she has performed steadily in film and television, working opposite Michael Douglas, Alan Arkin, Sterling K. Brown, Minnie Driver, Shemar Moore, Rachel Bloom and Hayley Kiyoko.
Jully served as Cold Tofu's Artistic Director from 2014 - 2024 where she performed and directed regularly. She has received critical acclaim for her performances in over 30 productions onstage, and received an Ovation nomination for "Best Featured Actress" in 2021. She was also nominated for 'GMA's Inspiration List: Who is Making Asian American Pacific Islander History in 2021' as a "powerhouse in the LA theatre scene."
Jully made her Broadway debut in KPOP the musical in 2022 and is now bi-coastal, based in New York and Los Angeles.
