Ellen Boscov had the joy of playing Andy Kaufman's mother opposite Nicholas Braun and Gabriel LaBelle in the upcoming feature film Saturday Night (2024) directed by Jason Reitman. It was a pleasure for Ellen to act in supporting roles in additional upcoming films including Dark Circles opposite Terry Kiser directed by Hannah Fierman, Burying Bubby opposite Robert Smigel directed by Eitan Levine and Gabriel Laks, and Ebenezer the Traveler with Christopher Brian Roach directed by Joe Valenti.

Ellen is the proud mother of filmmaker, Amelia Xanthe Boscov. Being Amelia's real-life mother is Ellen's most important and favorite role. Ellen also played the voice of the fetus in Amelia's film Tripping (2023) which stars Dot-Marie Jones.

Ellen was delighted to guest star on the magical PBS KIDS show Albie's Elevator (2023), and on Comedy Central Mini-Mocks Head & Breakfast (2023). It was an honor for Ellen to act in the MTV short film, In Your Hands, which aired in 2022 to celebrate Jewish Heritage month and in 2023 to celebrate Holocaust Remembrance Day.

In addition to her Film and TV work, Ellen has acted at numerous theaters across the country. And she has performed at many improv and sketch comedy venues including as a member of the house team at Philly Improv Theater. Ellen is a SAG-AFTRA and AEA actor.

Outside of performing, Ellen is a composer and a writer for stage and screen. She wrote the screenplay, lyrics, and composed the original score for First Light (2020). This short animated musical fantasy directed by Amy Lee Ketchum was a 2021 award winner at the Academy Award®-qualifying Ann Arbor Film Festival. It has won numerous additional awards including Best Animation 2021 at New Jersey International Film Festival, Best Score 2020 at Mediterranean Film Festival Cannes, Best Animation 2020 at Mediterranean Film Festival, and a short animation award 2020 at American Filmatic Arts Awards, Brooklyn. It was also the Official Selection of many Academy Award®-qualifying and Canadian Screen Award Qualifying film festivals. "First Light" features the vocals of mezzo-soprano Maren Montalbano, and soprano Jessica Beebe, vocalists in Grammy®Award-winning ensembles.

Ellen also wrote the screenplay, lyrics, and composed music for "Green Tree". This short musical film, directed by Carla Dauden, was immediately very popular online, receiving hundreds of thousands of views.

As a playwright, Ellen has had the good fortune of working with Rachel Bay Jones who starred in her full-length drama, Roses on the Rocks, produced by Manhattan Theatre Source in New York City in 2009. Ellen has also had plays produced at The Marsh Theater in San Francisco CA, and at The Theatre Shoppe in Chicago, IL.
