Timothy Kennedy was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, and was raised in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. He is the son of Margaret Kennedy, a school teacher, and Thomas Kennedy, a correctional officer. Kennedy attended the University of Massachusetts, where upon graduation he moved to Boston, Massachusetts. After living in Boston Kennedy decided that it was time to pursue his true passion, story telling, and moved to Los Angeles, California.
