Jan Lehmann was born on 17 December 1979 as the son of Heinz-Guenther Lehmann and Inge-Anna-Maria Lehmann. He spent his first 12 years in a city named Reinheim and visited the Elementary School there. At this young age he started to become interested in Movies and acted in a play in School. After his grandfather died his family moved to Fraenkisch-Crumbach, Odenwald, where the Legend of the Movie Stockflame (2005) (his first official Work for a Movie) was founded. In the transitional period of his relocation he visited the Albert-Einstein School at Gross Bieberau but he moved to the Georg-August-Zinn School because it was closer to his actual City. He began to draw and to paint. With a classmate he made different attempts to make Movies. They conceived several ideas and he wrote some of the drafts and did first sketches for the production. His classmate did the final designs. The sum of this work are some loose clips of experimental Movies. Some rough special effects like the Blue Screen Technique were included. It was not really satisfying.

In 2000 his mother died and he lost his appetite for life. His first work after this tragedy was at the Staatstheater Darmstadt. He joined an Actors Club for young people. He moved to his birthplace Darmstadt again and made his social year to be exempt from military service. His father married again. He began to work in the local Movie Theatre on May 15th 2002. At the end of 2004 he received a calling from his cousin Lea Menningmann. She worked on the Movie Stockflame (2005) and was looking for help. It was his debut. In 2005 he tried to get a security job an Frankfurt Airport but was rejected after a final test. He came back to the Movie Theatre.
