Michael Nicklin is a Los Angeles-based actor and consulting producer.
A native of southern California, Nicklin grew up in Santa Barbara and attended San Jose State University's College of Business. At 25, he was presented with the opportunity to acquire an ownership stake in the SAG-AFTRA franchised agency that represented him, and became a managing partner. Nicklin represented 150 actors and models for film, television, industrials and print. After a decade of leading his agency into unprecedented growth, he launched a second successful boutique talent agency in Beverly Hills.
Nicklin strategically exited his career as a talent agent after nearly 15 years when he landed a recurring contributor position on a newly launched syndicated morning lifestyle television show. He became a well-recognized on-air personality and consumer trends topic expert, and appeared on more than 300 news programs and network and syndicated programs for over a decade in Los Angeles and New York. He went on to act in more than 30 shorts and feature films; and commercials, industrials, music videos and web series. He has produced a multitude of short films, industrial and promotional content, and 200+ live events. He also produced an on-location lifestyle TV talk show, and segment produced for several national TV talk shows on which he appeared.
He then launched Vortexian Talent Management in 2013 and provided strategic management to actors and other industry creatives- maintaining a personal roster of around 30 individuals. Vortexian Media was simultaneously created to support the efforts of actors, writers and directors on the VTM talent roster. Following the closure of VTM in 2018, he continued to serve as a consulting producer focusing primarily on the development, and post-production phases, with a favored focus on expanding production footprint in philanthropy, and the formation of authentic strategic alliances with public charities early in the production process.
In addition to the enjoyment of his hobbies as an abstract artist and photographer, Nicklin regularly travels the world and has visited more than 80 countries. His philanthropic work includes contributing strategic counsel and hands-on assistance to a number of non-profit organizations and has served on the boards of two notable Los Angeles theaters.
