Dave Murray began his broadcasting career at age 22 and at 24 he joined St. Louis's NBC affiliate KSDK-TV where he remained until 1983 when ABC network executives hired him to be the new Chief Meteorologist/Weathercaster for both "Good Morning America" with David Hartman and Joan Lunden, and "World News This Morning" with Steve Bell.
