In this Cinderella-like fable, a woman conjures a Prince from a bird feather. Aninka, the youngest of three sisters, deals day in and day out with her bullying siblings. When Aninka and the Prince magically fall in love, they must work to break a witch's curse together.

Distinctive characters, a kind view of their dreams, worries, and transgressions, which none of us can avoid, an original plot... This is the prepossessing setting of a comedy that takes us to Zvestov, a picturesque Moravian village where the men like to re-enact a famous Napoleonic battle. They do it with such enthusiasm that they almost cause a tragedy and turn the romantic wedding of Tomas and a beautiful French girl, Claire, into bloodshed. In the end, everything is resolved with common sense and humor, but mostly with ordinary happiness and love, which drowns out all the sabre-rattling and is more powerful than dreams about fame.
