Kick-box champion David Sloan arrives in Rio de Janeiro for an exhibition fight. He and mentor Xian take pity on Brazilian rascal Marcos Coasta, an urchin who offers guide services but routinely steals from tourists for himself and his older sister Isabella. David is shocked when he sees how his Argentinian opponent Marcelo needlessly abuses a courteous local sparing partner. That's the doing of his evil US manager, Lane. He has nasty plans to force David to cheat and runs a white slavery racket.

Life stands still at Ian's place. As the ringleader of his eight twenty-something friends, they congregate nightly in his garage, where any concerns about the outside world are swept away in a flurry of smoke and booze. But there's a thought nagging at Ian's conscience: That there must be more to life than this. He makes the decision to leave the garage and find something else to do, taking his friends with him. What begins as another foray into erasing brain cells turns into the longest night of their lives. For some, it is a night of revelation.
