Once upon a time, there was a band of robbers, ruled by Lotrando, the robber of robbers. He took from the poor and the rich, and gave generously to his cronies. His son had long since outgrown his childhood shoes, so Lotrando decided that his son would get a good education. At the same time, by the Sargasso Sea in the Sultanate of Soliman, the Sultan is agonizing over the mysterious illness of his beautiful daughter Zubeida. Will the princess recover with the arrival of Lotrando and his new friend, the double doctor Drnec, or not?

A Czech-American (Miroslav Donutil) returns to the country of his birth after November 1989 to see to the restitution of family property. He runs into freeloaders, con artists, and other similar elements.

The television fairy tale of screenwriter Jiří Bednář and director František Filip alternates dramatic tension with comic moments.
