Inspector Lanz has finally found peace after  the serial killer  he was chasing for years was killed in a car chase in London. Lanz now has time to relax for a few days in Vienna with his wife Karen. There the nightmare begins again: the killer is alive and he is now targeting Karen.

A young woman is found raped and bludgeoned to death. Her father can’t reconcile himself with her death, and even less with the fact that the murderer was never found.
