Teresa is a girl from Chilean aristocracy. She lives a double life, at  day she dresses very elegant and fancy, while at night she assist to high society meetings at the Crillon Hotel in Santiago, where diplomats and wealthy people meet. However, her family is economically ruined after a bad sale of her father's mines and they have to live at Romero Street, where the working class lives.

Fernando (Francisco Melo) introduce us to the legendary whorehouse "La Gloria", core of the history. He arrives to collect a debt but the debtor died on jail and he only finds his widow Clorinda (María Izquierdo)with a couple of teenagers Esmeraldo (Matías Oviedo) and Violeta (Fernanda Urrejola). Esmeraldo is on the first steps of crime and Fernando and Clorinda fall in love. In the meantime Violeta gets involved with Sebastian Martí (Benjamín Vicuña)a relationship that will lead to tragedy

Amaro tells the story of a teenage saxophonist who lives in the capital and earns a living as a goldsmith. One day he meets Catherine, a woman unhappily married to a diplomat who soon falls for the musician.
