Bulgaristan'ın Oscar adayı olan film, adını argoda "bok" kelimesinden alıyor. Zift, bir özel dedektifin suçlularla olan savaşına değil suçlunun kendisine odaklansa da, kara film tarzında bir suç filmi olarak nitelendirilebilir. "Güve", yirmi yıl hapis yattıktan sonra özgürlüğüne kavuşur. Yeni ve yabancı bir dünya olan 60'ların komünist Sofya'sında kendi benliğini bulmaya çalışır. Bir günde olanları anlatan filmde, "Güve" geçmişiyle barışmaya çalışır, ancak işkence görür, kovalanır ve gün boyunca ajanlardan, doktorlardan, bar kuşlarından, serserilerden ve mezarcılardan pek çok hikâye dinlemeye zorlanır.

In Paris, Sophie and Daneel make a solid couple.  Nothing, it seems, can separate them - until the day when Sophie tells her partner she has organised a surprise trip to Bulgaria.  Daneel refuses to go, but Sophie insists and soon discovers just why her soul mate was so reluctant to set foot in the country...
