THE STUDIO: A place to pursue passions, follow dreams and become inspired. THE STUDIO is a real look inside a successful Atlanta ballroom studio and the real lives of the people behind it. With limited time and access, we filmed and completed a two-part pilot as a conceptual piece to pitch our concept to TV networks and grow support. The pilot is a real take that encompasses real ballroom students and instructors as they prepare for a ballroom dance competition, as well as the pressures of the owners and staff in managing the studio and producing a national level dance competition. We filmed the pilot over a two week period including the week before Hotlanta Dance Challenge and later at the competition. We are looking forward to producing a full series showing the complete journey ballroom dancers take in preparation for a competition, as well as more "day in the life" coverage of real students, instructors, and the studio owners. For those students competing, we will show all aspects of dancing, from the selection of routines and dresses to the juggling of money to support the dancers' passion. Real lives, real people, real transformations.

Mark Van Der Poole, his wife, and two teenagers all understand what being "connected" is all about: Twitter,Facebook, Cell Phones, iPads, GPS - their frantic lives are bound to gadgets too numerous to count! This noisy backdrop turns suddenly into awkward silence when a mysterious glitch brings the entire communications grid to a sudden halt! Sudden with drawl from gadget-driven addictions force the Van Der Poole family together against their will, to face the best - and worst - in each other as they explore old fashioned fun, family, and faith. In the process, they rediscover the real connectedness they haven't even realized they had lost.
