​Isao Suzuki is a legendary Japanese jazz bassist known worldwide. Once elected as one of the top 20 jazz musicians in the world, he is better known outside of Japan than inside, thanks to his sessions with many renowned musicians. What kind of life has he led as a musician, what kind of influence has he had on his younger students, and what has he been like in his later years as the Godfather of Jazz? We take a look back at his life through interviews and his personal life.

Jazz Godfather

An omnibus featuring five stories and five segments the film revolves around the radio and its listeners. There are different hosts, announcers and DJs and a bevvy of listeners. The listeners range from a band hearing its own song on the radio to a woman trapped in a building relying on the sound of the radio to find her way out.

High school student Nanami lives in Tokyo, Japan. She waits for Halloween because she enjoys dressing up in costumes with her friends. One day, Nanami’s father tells her about a mysterious serial murder case that takes place year on Halloween. Her father works as the chief editor at an occult magazine. At first, Nanami doesn't care about the serial murders, but frightening incidents keep taking place around her.
