Yıllar önce toplumdan uzaklaşarak ormanın derinliklerinde yaşamaya başlayan Ted ve Tom yerel bir otel sahibinin de yardımıyla yerlilere ekin satarak hayatlarını devam ettirir.  Ancak sağlıkları, yaşam tarzları, yaş ve hastalıkların de etkisiyle giderek daha fazla tehlikeye girer ve Ted bir gün kalp krizi geçirir. Bunun üzerine bir de Fotoğrafçı/araştırmacı Ange-Aimee, onlarca yıl önce meydana gelen feci bir yangından sağ kurtulanları, özellikle de yangın sırasında yaptıkları kahramanca bir boyuta ulaşan Ted'i aramaya başlayınca hayatlarını alt üst etmekle tehdit eder.
