Lisa, a mother of two, is gradually being consumed by her alcoholism while her husband Vincent is busy with his career and underestimates the gravity of the situation, simply avoiding the subject.

Thomas' life is turned upside-down after a terrible car accident leaves him paraplegic. After months of rehabilitation he is finally able to return home. Now, within the family and at work, he'll have to accept being dependent, drawing on his inner strength to move from one world to the other.
