Toprak ağalarının baskısından, tiranlığından ve içinde bulunduğu sefaletten kurtulup şehre gitmek isteyen bir çocuk toprak ağasından bir kaç eşya çalıp yollara düşer. Yolda aç ve bitap düşen çocuk şans eseri iyi kalpli eski asker olan bir çobanın onu bulmasıyla kurtulur ve yollarına birlikte devam ederler. Ancak toprak ağasının adamları çocuğu aramaktadırlar ve bulup tekrardan toprak ağasının ellerine götürdüklerinde ise karşılaşacağı tek şey sadece zulüm olacaktır.

Parque Mayer was the park off all the emotions and amusements in the 1930' s. Under the dictatorship of Oliveira Salazar and his police, many people came to have fun in its theaters attending the portuguese kind of play called 'revista'. A writer called Mario Pintor (paintor) is writing a play in which a new actress (Deolinda) will star as the main role, while an already famous actor named Eduardo tries to seduce this recent arrival.

Germán is Argentine by birth, but has lived in Spain for thirty years with his wife Rosa and his daughter Lucía. On the day of the young woman's birthday, he receives a phone call that will force him to confront his past in a violent way. This Argentine exile then has to deal with the terrible experiences he experienced during the Argentine dictatorship while overcoming his current family problems.
