Three student filmmakers travel to Crystal Lake to make a documentary about the mysterious disappearances in the surrounding area. After they come across Patch, an old, gruff Vietnam veteran, who offers to take them on an adventure to capture the deadly fish that is responsible, they soon realize they are in for more than they set out for.
