Diya and Keerthi are friends. Keerthi is an aspiring Stand Up comedian and she is trying to find some opportunities for her shows. Diya becomes a regular presence in the Keerthi's friend's gatherings and through which she get introduced to Keerthi's brother Amal and his friends Jeevan and Sujith. Diya and Amal become lovers eventually. This changes everything for everybody in the group.

Imbam tells the story of a young cartoonist Nidhin and his emotional intimacy with an old publishing house called 'Shabdam', its fifty five year old owner, 'Karunakaran, and the lady proof-reader of the same office 'Kathambari'. The sudden turn of events takes the story to an unexpected twist at the end.

A grisly mishap occurs, and the whole village takes two sides in utmost horror, fighting it with belief systems. With time running out, a determined police officer bravely steps in to save the day.
