Reg Lye 14 Ekim 1912'de Sidney, Yeni Güney Galler, Avustralya'da doğdu. Sunday Too Far Away (1975), A Challenge for Robin Hood (1967) ve For Whom the Bell Tolls (1965) filmleriyle tanınan bir aktördü. Ruth Margaret Clyne ve Phylis Alma Bessey ile evliydi. 23 Mart 1987 tarihinde Windsor, New South Wales, Avustralya'da öldü.
