Joan Miller 18 Şubat 1910'da Nelson, British Columbia, Kanada'da doğdu. BBC Sunday-Night Theatre (1950), For Whom the Bell Tolls (1965) ve Anne of Green Gables (1952) filmleriyle tanınan bir oyuncuydu. Peter Cotes ile evliydi. 31 Ağustos 1988 tarihinde Oxford, İngiltere'de öldü.
