Christian-Jaque was born on 4 September 1904 in Paris, France. He was a director and writer, known for Fanfan la tulipe (1952), İnsanlık Uğrunda Kahraman Müslüman (1956) and İngiltere Tacının İncileri (1937). He was married to Denise Morlot, Laurence Christol, Martine Carol, Renée Faure, Simone Renant and Germaine Spy. He died on 8 July 1994 in Boulogne-Billancourt, Hauts-de-Seine, France.
