On the border between the real and the fantastic, between the colonial past and the overwhelming modernity of agribusiness, the city of Goiás is the scene of the meeting between the young Fernanda and her secret roots. She returns to the home of her wealthy uncle, after the death of her adoptive mother, in order to implode the certainties and to reveal the painful truth about its origin.

Rita is a hardworking woman, who turns around as she can to ensure her family's livelihood. She does not stop dreaming even in the face of difficulties, and her greatest wish is to have a big Christmas dinner. However, on the eve of the date, she is fired and needs to get a plan B. She sees the advertisement for a cover contest on television, and given her poor financial situation and the offer of a good prize, she decides to apply. The news then arrives: Rita was selected.
